We are slowly but surely finding our groove for this year. I think we should be have our groove on in another week (or three). Today went relatively smoothly considering the way the week started. We completed experiment 1 in our Chemistry program: What are things made of? The first chapter dealt with The Periodic Table of Elements so we looked at food labels and found their symbol on the chart. Recorded our findings and drew conclusions. B- continued reading about Albert Einstein, working on fractions, and diagramming a sentence. M- is working on triple digit multiplication, right now she is struggling a bit with the columns but I know she will get it. She is also diagramming sentences, and read another chapter in Robinson Crusoe.
We also started the Art Appreciation course today. We are using Meet the Masters. Today was a preview of what we will be studying throughout the course. We are starting with Van Gogh. The kids are looking forward to learning about him and doing some art projects.
