In the if it can go wrong it will go wrong category these past days have been nothing but a nightmare. First there was the leaky pipe that took 3 days to fix, then the downstairs toilet has been running, then the kitchen sink has a clog that just won't unclog and we have not been home to remove the elbow and clear it out, then last but not least yesterday the car alarm on hubby's car decided it had a mind of its own and would go off every hour or two for a few minutes finally draining the battery.
All this brings us to today. Which in terms of school work went surprisingly well. The kids did their assignments without very few complaints and were disappointed when we could not do all the things normally scheduled for the day due to time constraints. We had to get over to the Y for swim class and gym class. However, Mercury in Retrograde is not done with me. Gym class was cancelled. The instructor is ill.
On the upside, life has been handing me a lot of lemons lately and I have been doing my best to make lemonade. One of the kids gym mates did not get the message that class was cancelled so I invited him over to our house to play. The kids had a great time. Well, at least B did. M was feeling the testosterone and wanted nothing to do with them. I let her watch a little tv and then she did some time on the Wii Fit and then her friends from school came home.
