The sink is fixed! The sink is fixed! We had to call a plumber but it is fixed. It seems the previous owner of our home (a woman who loved to do her own repairs incorrectly) did a doozy of a job on the sink. She siliconed and glued the elbow on, which is why hubby couldn't get it off, which caused a different problem. The drain had been leaking for a long time. It was rusted and rotted. When the plumber wrenched the elbow off it just fell off. The kids loved watching him work. He had an awesome snake. So much better than ours. In the words of Mister B "Awesome, look at that snake. It's electric."
The kids were thrilled because now they can cook and I would start cooking again. Cereal for dinner for 3 days in a row was a bit much for them. I wasn't cooking without the sink to wash pots in.
Today I was setting up our Unit Study on Arizona. We are heading out there to visit my mom the first week in October. So many maps and facts to learn before we go.
